A 6.4 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal, causing strong tremors to be felt in Delhi-NCR and across north India. Residents of high-rise buildings took to the streets as the tremors lasted for over a minute. Social media was flooded with videos of swinging chandeliers and fans, highlighting the intensity of the earthquake. This is the third time in a month that strong quakes have struck Nepal, a country prone to earthquakes due to its mountainous terrain. In 2015, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Nepal claimed the lives of around 9,000 people.
