A special court sentenced a woman to 20 years in prison for aiding in the rape of her niece by a man, and also ordered a criminal complaint against the victim's mother for turning hostile in court. The woman received a 20-year jail term along with her co-accused, Baldev Sagathiya, who was found guilty of impregnating the 16-year-old. Special judge J K Prajapati imposed a harsh sentence on the woman, observing that she had aided in the rape of her niece.
