India signed five agreements with debt-ridden neighbour Sri Lanka and released a bilateral vision document for economic cooperation, even as PM Narendra Modi told visiting Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe that the security interests and development of the two countries were intertwined and it was essential for them to work together keeping in mind each other’s safety and sensitivities.
