Over 900 prominent Indian scientists, scholars wrote an open letter against the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Bill tabled in the Lok Sabha on Monday. The group has demanded bill to be withdrawn and instead new legislation should be introduced which is "non-discriminatory" in nature.
