500 students leave NIT to push for permanent campus

In an unprecedented exodus, over 500 students of Uttarakhand’s National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Srinagar packed their bags and vacated the campus on Tuesday after their month-long demand for a permanent building went unheard. More than 900 students have been on an indefinite strike since October 4 in support of their demand for a permanent campus.
