After CJI Ranjan Gogoi and justice AK Sikri, justice NV Ramana became the third judge to recuse himself from hearing a plea challenging the appointment of M Nageswara Rao as interim director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Earlier, Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and justice AK Sikri had recused themselves from the hearing the matter.

600 Indian students held in US for immigration rules violation

The Department of Homeland Security said it set up a fake university as part of an undercover operation to identify recruiters and entities engaged in immigration fraud. Eight student recruiters were charged with participating in a conspiracy to help at least 600 foreign citizens stay in the US illegally, according to the indictments.
